The Samilson/Angenitsky Family

View photographs and read the story of a trip to Simnas, Lithuania, home of the Samilsons/Angenitskys.

Portion of Angenitsky Samilson Family Tree

Harris Samilson, who changed his last name from Angenitsky, married Rebecca Simon.

They had seven daughters — Jane, Minnie, Massie (Rachel), Sarah, Anna, Flora, Belle (Bud)

and two sons, Mortimer and Jesse.

Standing, left to right: Jesse Samilson, Jane Bachrach, Rae Bonis, Sarah Bernstein, Mortimer Samilson

Seated, left to right: Minnie Rogers, Belle Stern, Rebecca Samilson, Anne Terrell, Flora Weinstein (West)

I think this was taken after 1907 because Harris is not in the picture.

Harris and Rebecca are buried in the Union Field cemetery in Queens, NY with daughters Jane, Rachel, Sarah and Flora.
